Do you have strong expertise in LC-MS and want to work at the forefront of research and development in nucleic acid-based therapies? Then this could be the assignment for you!

We are currently seeking a Scientist / LC-MS Specialist for a consulting assignment with our client, a large company in Life Science, which gives you the opportunity to work in a highly competent research environment focusing on viral vectors, oligonucleotides, and mRNA.

In the role of Analytical Chemist, you will have a central function in analysis and method development related to LC-MS. You will be responsible for developing and applying advanced LC-MS methods to support R&D projects in nucleic acid-based therapies.

Examples of tasks:

  • Develop and validate LC-MS workflows for qualitative and quantitative analysis of oligonucleotides and related conjugates
  • Perform routine LC-MS analyses related to ongoing projects
  • Work cross-functionally and collaborate with other teams
  • Act as a leading expert in complex analytical challenges and implement solutions
  • Ensure proper documentation and compliance with applicable standards
  • Participate in method development and maintenance of instruments
  • Document work in electronic laboratory notebooks
  • Write technical reports and prepare and present results at project meetings

The assignment is a temporary position due to study leave and runs until July 31, 2026, where you will be employed by us at StudentConsulting and work at our client's site in Uppsala.

THIS IS WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Requirements for the position:

  • PhD or Master's degree in analytical chemistry, biochemistry, or equivalent
  • Documented experience in the development and application of LC-MS methods
  • Experience in intact mass analysis, impurity profiling, and sequence verification
  • Very good knowledge of English (Swedish is not a requirement)

Meritorious:

  • Experience in the analysis of oligonucleotides or nucleic acids
  • Experience with IP-RPC
